Shannon Best

Shannon is the communications backbone for the Franciscan Mystery Play; sending out messages to parents & teens, and handles all of our bookings with parishes. A parishioner of Ste. Marie for over 20 years, Shannon's journey of faith has been defined by a desire to serve. Her connection to the Franciscan Mystery Players is a personal one having watched her own three children grow and witness through this ministry throughout their high school years. Her ministry work spans the last several decades. She has taught Baptismal Preparation classes and Children’s Lectionary programs at Ste Marie and served on the board of Vita Nova through which she led numerous women’s and married couples’ retreats. She is a current board member of St. Benedict Academy, and on the core team of the Women of Mary at Ste Marie.

In her professional life, Shannon serves as the Admission and Global Programs Associate at The Derryfield School, where she has also shared her love of running as their Varsity Cross Country coach for the last 11 years. She has been married to her amazing husband, John, for over 25 years and finds joy in a busy household that includes several generations. An avid runner and triathlete who thrives on adventure and trying new things, she allows her love for Jesus to guide her work in both her faith life and daily professional career.
